The Ellenville Senior High School Symphonic Band, under the direction of Laurie Worden, traveled to Westfield State University in Massachusetts in May for the Music in the Parks Festival. There, the band performed works by Karl King, Pierre LaPlante, and Roland Barrett for two adjudicators. The students played well and received a rating of “Excellent.” After the performance, the group headed to Six Flags New England, where they enjoyed a wonderful, sunny day at the park.
Also in May, the Ellenville Seventh and Eighth Grade Band attended the High Note Music Festival in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The students performed for two adjudicators and also earned a rating of "Excellent." Following their performance, the students enjoyed a fun afternoon at Dorney Park.
