Congratulations to the 18 new members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), who were inducted into the organization at a special ceremony on May 1.
During the ceremony, Ellenville Junior/Senior High School Co-Principal Susan Irland thanked teachers, parents, guardians, and families for their support of the new inductees. "Thank you for sharing them with us,” she said. "This is an outstanding group of students who have all made contributions to our school and community. They are leaders, athletes, musicians, thespians, and more. This is not just an academic honor. These students are role models to their peers.”
We congratulate the following inductees for exemplifying the six pillars of the NJHS (scholarship, service, leadership, character, citizenship, and knowledge): Shelby Ayer, Ethan Cruz, Peace Diaz, Leonidas Thomas Forbes, Sophiana Jacobs, David Lin, Angel Lopez, Tyler Oquendo, Joshua Osterhoudt, Elna Pagan, Caleb St. Peter, Joshua Porter, Melodie Posner, Anthony Santos, Angelina Soares, Shea Stewart, Maegann Wright, and Leo Zolynski.
We are so proud of you all!
