The Ellenville Junior/Senior High School gym was transformed into an information-packed Health Fair on May 8, thanks to the school’s Key Club
. The event featured many informative booths and tables, representing various health-related organizations, clubs, and companies, including the Ulster County Department of Health and Mental Health, Ellenville Regional Hospital, the Institute of Family Health, Rondout Valley Growers Association, My Brother’s Keeper, and more!
Many booths, such as the one sponsored by Whitsons Culinary Group, provided healthy snacks, while others offered coping strategies and stress management techniques. Students were eager to try out many stress-relieving and fitness activities like bowling, golfing, and a push-up contest (with the winner receiving a gift card!). Other wellness activities included building a “healthy plate,” and learning about positive self-talk.
