Three students hold up yellow paper handprints

Exciting news!

Ellenville has officially been designated as a "No Place for Hate" district! To be awarded this designation from the Anti-Defamation League, students were required to participate in three activities that promoted anti-bias and anti-bullying in their schools.

At the Elementary School, our Blue Devils read and signed the "No Place for Hate" pledge, and engaged in an "Identity Iceberg" discussion that highlighted what people see on the outside vs. what's on the inside. The entire school also participated in a "One Book One School" activity involving the empowering book "Say Something" by Peter Reynolds.

Congratulations to all who have been a part of this positive effort to create a school community that shows kindness and caring towards others!
