Pre-Kindergarten program information

The Ellenville Central School District is pleased to announce that it will be offering THREE full-day Pre-Kindergarten classes for the 2025-2026 school year! There will be 54 spots available. To qualify, children must be a District resident and be turning four years old by December 1, 2025.

Program enrollment will be determined through a random lottery process. There are two ways to apply for the lottery.

Option 1: Print and complete the lottery application and return it to the District Registrar by 4 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Option 2: Complete the online form by 4 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025.

The lottery drawing will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Acceptance letters will be mailed home to the families of selected students no later than March 17, 2025. You will also receive a letter via mail if your child has not been selected. Children who have not been selected will be placed on a waiting list.

If your child is selected to participate in the Pre-K program for the 2025-2026 school year, you will be required to register your child with the District no later than April 11, 2025. Failure to submit a completed registration packet will result in your child’s spot being forfeited.

Additionally, all children selected to participate in the Pre-K program will be required to attend one mandatory screening which will be held on May 29 and June 5, 2025. Additional information regarding the registration process and mandatory screening will be mailed home if your child is selected for the Pre-K program.

If you have any questions, please call the District Registrar at (845) 647-0120. Remember, the application window will close on March 7. Don't miss this incredible opportunity for your child's early education journey!
