Dear Students and Families,
Digital equity is essential for educational equity. To serve our students, families, and educators, it is imperative that we have, and maintain, an updated, accurate, and complete picture of the state of digital equity for each individual student. We have been collecting this data for the past two school years using an online survey as well as hard-copy surveys that were sent home with students. To ensure that our data is up-to-date, the District, in accordance with NYS requirements, will be administering its annual survey through the month of October. The results of the survey are used on an ongoing basis throughout the year to help identify specific needs and target resources and funding opportunities when they become available.
In an effort to increase our response rate, we will be making changes to survey administration.
For students in grades 7 through 12:
Students will fill out the survey during a designated time at school.
For students in grades pre-kindergarten through 6:
Here is a link to the digital equity survey for parents of children in Grades PK - 6.
The survey has two parts. The first part consists of questions that are answered once for your household. The second part consists of questions specific to your child/children. If there are multiple grades pre-k through 6 children in your home, you will be prompted to submit responses for each child.
As stated above, we are required to collect this information annually for each student, as each student's technology access may be different, even within the same household.
If you do not have access to the Internet to complete the survey, please contact our Technology Department at 845-647-0137 and we can collect your responses over the phone.
Thank you,
Lisa A. Wiles
