Jennifer Budd's Kindergarten class celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a special activity. Budd presented the class with two eggs—one brown and one white—to compare and contrast. After making the observations, the young learners watched as the eggs were cracked and the insides were revealed to be exactly the same!
“This is one of my favorite lessons,” said Budd. “I enjoy doing it every year, as it illustrates that we are all different on the outside, but the same on the inside. Skin color doesn’t matter.”
"I loved the activity because it was so cool to watch," said Julia Feliciano. “I learned that the inside of us is the same!" Ava Foley had this to say: “It was super cool to watch and I learned it matters what's on the inside.” Daxton Broderick quipped, “It is the inside of us that counts. And I really liked the yolk!"
Great observations, young ones!
