We are excited to share an exciting communication update with our school community. We will launch Apptegy Rooms, a new communication platform in the Ellenville Central School District (ECSD) mobile app in the coming days. Rooms will allow for two-way communication between staff and families. Our aim with Rooms is to streamline district and classroom communication by September 2024 through a unified platform. If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to download the Ellenville Central School NY app on your smartphone, which is available as a free download in the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
On May 20, 2024, ECSD app users will receive a notification that Rooms is now activated as a feature within the app. At the onset of the launch and for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, the app will have two available Rooms. One for Elementary School main office communication and one for Junior/Senior High School main office communication. This communication will be for the building administrators to send messages to families regarding specific building events and announcements. You will be automatically enrolled in the Room(s) respective to the building(s) your student(s) attends. In the 2024-2025 school year, we plan to expand the use of Rooms to allow for communication between teachers and parents/guardians.
The District will continue to use robocalls, emails, and text messages for Districtwide communication in conjunction with Rooms.
