The Ellenville Central School District will host a public presentation about its upcoming Capital Project in the Jr/Sr High School Auditorium on Thursday, November 7, at 6 PM. The proposed project aims to improve safety, enhance athletic fields and outdoor learning spaces, and upgrade aging infrastructure, including compliance with current building codes and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
The $22.3 million Capital Project leverages $2.5 million that is already set aside in a voter-approved Capital Reserve, which will help offset the total cost to taxpayers. New York State will also provide the District with Building Aid to cover 41.7 percent of the cost, further reducing the local share.
The public vote on the proposed project will be held on Tuesday, December 3, from 8 AM to 8 PM, in the Ellenville Jr/Sr High School Media Center.
