Reminder: The Ellenville Central School District will be closed on Thursday, October 3, in observance of Rosh Hashanah.
Ellenville Elementary School is thrilled to host it's first-ever Driving Ellenville event, where students will have the unique opportunity to meet the personnel who protect, defend, serve, build, and drive our community. Due to this event, the Elementary Car Pick Up loop will not be accessible until after 2:30 PM today (September 27). This will allow the vehicles to exit campus before the Elementary School dismissal. Thank you for your patience as we bring this exciting event to our students!
The Ellenville Central School District is once again partnering with People’s Place, which has three programs available that can be of help to our families during the holiday season. Kindness knows no age! When Assistant Superintendent for Business Vince Napoli recently paused to tie his shoe, a thoughtful Elementary School student jumped right in to help. While carefully tying Mr. Napoli's shoe, the youngster even made a double knot to make sure the tie stayed in place. It was a small gesture that showcases the big hearts our Ellenville students bring to our school community every day. Good job, buddy!

Today, the Ellenville Central School District community pauses to honor and remember the heroes of September 11. Let's unite to pay tribute, support one another, and embrace a spirit of compassion as we reflect on the courage and resilience of those who faced unspeakable tragedy on this day in 2001.
The ECSD is proud to celebrate Arts in Education Week! This is a national celebration recognizing the transformative power of the arts. As we in Ellenville know, the arts are not just an outlet for creativity—they’re a vital part of learning that inspires innovation, builds confidence, and helps students express themselves in ways that words alone cannot. Three cheers for the arts and the positive impact they have on our Blue Devils!
Did you know? Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school. Getting into the habit of daily attendance is more important than ever. It helps to: Reduce stress, make it easier to connect with friends and teachers, and support learning . Please contact your child's school if you need help with attendance. We will do our best to listen and partner with you so that our children have a successful year. #BeHereAchieveMore #AttendanceMatters
The new school year will bring with it new expectations regarding smartphones at Ellenville Jr/Sr High School. Smartphones have become a huge distraction in schools, making it harder and harder for students to focus on their work and get the most out of their school day. Studies also show a strong link between excessive smartphone use and depression, anxiety, bullying, social conflict and stress among adolescents and young adults. We know the new protocols will take some getting used to, but limiting smartphone use will help make Ellenville an even better place to learn. Visit our website at https://www.ecs.k12.ny.us/o/ehs/page/electronic-device-expectations to learn more. Thank you for your partnership!
